About us
Sapiora teaches kids how to actually think about AI. Not “here’s how to prompt ChatGPT,” but the real stuff: how these systems get things wrong, what happens to your data, where bias creeps in, and how to use them with integrity. We run a 20-lesson curriculum across three age tracks (4 to 7, 8 to 12, 13 to 18), and every student picks a subject in Lesson 1 and builds something real with it over the whole course.
We are small, we move fast, and the person we hire will have a lot of room to shape how this gets taught.
What you’ll do
- Teach 60 to 75 minute weekly sessions to students in one or more of our three age tracks
- Run protected build time every session in Replit, where students actually make things instead of just talking about them
- Weave our four pillars into every lesson: Integrity and Proper Usage, AI Gets Things Wrong, Data Security and Privacy, Bias and How AI Is Built
- Keep parents in the loop with short, honest progress notes
- Tell us when a lesson isn’t landing so we can fix it
What we’re looking for
You do not need to be an AI researcher. You need to be someone kids trust, who can explain a hard idea three different ways until it clicks, and who is genuinely curious about this technology instead of either terrified of it or oversold on it.
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior work with children in any structured setting: teaching, tutoring, camp, coaching, after-school, robotics, chess, music
- Teaching certification, education degree, or coursework in education, CS, or a related field
- Certificates in AI literacy or AI fundamentals (Common Sense Media, Google, Microsoft, ISTE, or similar)
- Comfort with Replit or any beginner-friendly coding environment
- Experience communicating with parents
- Bilingual is a plus
Required of everyone we hire:
- Completion of the Common Sense Media K-12 AI Foundations course and their ChatGPT course (we will cover the cost if you have not done these yet)
- Background check, including county-level searches, before your first session

It can be anything: a lesson plan you wrote, an app you built, a Replit project, a curriculum you designed, a video you made, a club you started. Send a link, a file, or a few paragraphs describing it. We want to see how you think and what you make.
Put “AI Tutor” in the subject line. We read every one and we reply.
Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour
