At Volkswagen St. John’s we are growing our Business Office and are looking for a Finance Manager to join our team and play a key role in helping customers navigate one of the most important parts of their vehicle purchase.
As a Finance Manager, you’ll guide customers through their financing and leasing options, build tailored financial solutions, and introduce protection options that add value throughout the ownership experience. You’ll work closely with our Sales team, lenders, and customers to ensure every deal is structured accurately, efficiently, and delivered with professionalism.

Position: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Volkswagen St. John's
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Saturday rotation seasonally.
Compensation: Commission and bonus-based earnings with a minimum wage guarantee; earning potential of $100,000–$150,000+ annually.
What You'll Do
- Manage the complete Finance & Insurance process from the point of sale through final vehicle delivery.
- Structure and review vehicle deals to ensure compliance with lender and dealership requirements.
- Review and validate customer credit applications, financial information, and supporting documentation.
- Work with financial institutions and lenders to secure appropriate financing and leasing options for customers.
- Present and explain financing, leasing, payment, and ownership options in a clear and professional manner.
- Present and facilitate sale of F&I products, including extended warranties, vehicle protection packages, insurance products, maintenance plans, and other available products.
- Identify customer needs and recommend products and solutions that provide genuine value and protection.
- Prepare, review, and complete all documentation required for financing, leasing, and vehicle delivery.
- Coordinate funding requirements, including finance and lease funding, down payments, licensing fees, trade documentation, and other deal-related requirements.
- Monitor outstanding deals and funding to ensure transactions are completed accurately and funds are received promptly.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, properly signed, and submitted to the appropriate parties.
- Maintain compliance with applicable legislation, lender requirements, manufacturer standards, and dealership policies.
- Build strong working relationships with lenders, financial institutions, Sales Consultants, Sales Managers, and other dealership partners.
- Work closely with the Sales team to ensure a smooth transition from vehicle purchase to final delivery.
- Address customer questions and concerns related to financing, leasing, warranties, insurance, and other F&I products.
- Monitor and report on F&I performance, including product penetration, financing and leasing activity, funding, and other key performance indicators.
- Stay current on lender programs, financing and leasing products, F&I offerings, compliance requirements, and industry practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, profitability, compliance, and the overall customer experience.
- Protect customer financial and personal information and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
What You'll Bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in finance, lending, banking, or a related field.
- Automotive Finance & Insurance experience is preferred.
- Experience working with credit applications, financing, leasing, or financial products.
- A proven ability to sell, negotiate, build relationships, and achieve performance targets.
- Strong understanding of credit, financing, lending practices, deal structure, and financial products.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly and confidently.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
- Comfortable working with dealership technology, lender portals, CRM/DMS systems, and other financial tools.
- Strong judgment, professionalism, integrity, and commitment to ethical sales practices.
- A customer-first approach combined with a strong results orientation.
