Position Summary: The AI Engineer builds and deploys AI-powered automation across Platinum's operations. Working within the AI Implementations team, this role uses modern AI tools — large language models, coding agents, voice AI — in combination with traditional software engineering to eliminate manual workflows in referrals, denials, patient communications, revenue cycle, infrastructure and security management, and other operational areas. The role owns integrations end-to-end, from system connectivity through dashboard delivery, and is expected to operate with significant autonomy in identifying and executing automation opportunities.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
- Design, build, and deploy AI-powered automation for operations workflows including referral intake, denials management, patient outreach, credentialing, and revenue cycle management

Develop and maintain features for pGPT, Platinum's internal enterprise AI platform, including custom tools, system integrations, and agentic workflows

Integrate operational systems — ModMed EMA, NextGen PM, Paycom, Coupa, Monday.com, SharePoint, Google Ads — into Databricks as an AI-enabled centralized data platform

Build and maintain data pipelines using Databricks (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Lakeflow Connect) and related Azure infrastructure

Deploy and maintain voice AI integrations for patient outbound communications and clinical dictation workflows

Work closely with IT team to identify infrastructure and security automation

Use AI coding agents as a force multiplier in the development process

Document all integrations, pipelines, and automation workflows with runbooks and operational procedures

Identify manual processes suitable for automation and independently drive those projects to completion
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
Qualifications:

Experience with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) and healthcare operations

Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements and PHI handling

Experience with Databricks, Spark, or similar data platforms

Experience with voice AI technologies

Frontend development capability sufficient to build internal dashboards

Demonstrated experience building and shipping production software

Proficiency with Python, SQL, and REST API integration

Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure

Practical, daily experience using LLMs and AI coding tools in a development workflow

Ability to work autonomously and manage projects end-to-end
