Automation Agency is looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer to help build next-generation AI-powered business systems for clients across the United States.

This isn't a traditional web development position.

You'll help design and build AI receptionists, AI sales representatives, Voice AI agents, CRM solutions, custom SaaS applications, API integrations, and advanced automation systems that help businesses become more efficient and profitable.

This position begins as a part-time 1099 contract position (25–35 hours per week) with the opportunity for high-performing contractors to transition into a full-time position as our company continues to grow.

What You'll Be Doing

Your work may include:

- Building AI-powered automation systems

- Developing custom Node.js backend services

- Creating React or Next.js applications

- Developing third-party API integrations

- Designing webhook-based automation workflows

- Troubleshooting production systems

- Participating in technical discussions with U.S.-based clients

What You Must Bring

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate strong ability in the following areas:

- Hands-on GoHighLevel experience

- Professional software development experience with demonstrated full-stack capabilities

- Strong JavaScript and Node.js development skills

- Experience building frontend applications using React, Next.js, or similar technologies

- Experience building and consuming REST APIs

- Experience integrating third-party APIs

- Experience working with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or similar databases

- Experience building automation workflows using webhooks

- Experience working with AI APIs, LLMs, AI agents, or AI-powered applications

- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills

- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

- Ability to work independently without requiring constant step-by-step direction

- Ability to collaborate effectively with a remote team

- Strong sense of ownership and accountability

- Demonstrated reliability and ability to follow through on commitments

GoHighLevel experience is an important part of this position.

You should have practical experience working inside GoHighLevel and be comfortable building or troubleshooting systems involving areas such as:

Within your first 90 days, you'll be expected to:

- Independently complete assigned AI, automation, and development projects.

- Build and troubleshoot integrations between GoHighLevel and third-party platforms.

- Develop reliable API and webhook-based systems.

- Contribute to AI-powered applications and Voice AI solutions.

- Communicate proactively about project status, challenges, and deadlines.

- Participate in client-facing technical discussions when needed.

- Take ownership of problems rather than waiting for step-by-step instructions.

- Consistently deliver production-ready work that meets project requirements.

- Learn new technologies and tools when projects require them.

- Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and strong follow-through.

Client Interaction

Our engineers do more than write code.

You'll regularly communicate with U.S.-based business owners and team members to understand business requirements, recommend technical solutions, provide project updates, troubleshoot issues, and help deliver exceptional client experiences.

Professionalism, communication, and technical expertise are equally important in this role.

You don't need to be a salesperson.

You do need to be able to communicate technical concepts clearly, ask good questions, listen carefully, and represent Automation Agency professionally.

Work Schedule

This is a part-time position averaging 25–30 hours per week.

Your work schedule will be established at the time of hire based on project needs and mutual agreement.

All scheduled hours will be worked between:

7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Phoenix, Arizona Time)

Monday through Friday.

Applicants must be able to consistently work their assigned schedule during these hours.

Contractor Expectations

This position is a 1099 Contract Position.

Contractors are responsible for providing their own:

- Computer and development equipment

- High-speed internet connection

- Professional work environment

- Backup internet connection (recommended)

- Backup power solution (recommended)

- Applicable taxes and contractor obligations

Compensation is based on approved hours worked.

High-performing contractors may be considered for future full-time employment as business needs grow.

Work Environment & Equipment

Applicants must have:

- A quiet, professional environment suitable for focused development work and client meetings

- Reliable high-speed internet

- A modern development computer capable of handling the required software and development tools

- A professional webcam and microphone for video meetings

A dedicated home office is not required, provided you have a professional environment suitable for the work.

- Can consistently work within our required operating hours
