Administrator – Transport Planning Consultancy (Ringwood)
Are you an organised and proactive individual with excellent secretarial and administrative skills, looking for a varied role in a small, established business?
We’re a friendly and professional transport planning, highway engineering, and drainage consultancy seeking a dedicated Administrator to join our team in Ringwood. This is an office-based position that plays a key part in supporting the smooth running of our consultancy.
What you’ll be doing
You will play a pivotal role in managing daily operations, supporting team members and working closely with our Office Manager to provide efficient administrative and secretarial support across the business, including:
- Preparing, formatting, and compiling large technical reports and documents
- Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative assistance
- Maintaining accurate records, databases, and filing systems
- Managing incoming calls in a professional and friendly manner
- Ensuring supplies of stationery and equipment are maintained
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of office procedures
- Assisting with general day-to-day office tasks and clerical tasks as required
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in an administrative or secretarial role with a strong clerical background.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy, with good attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe software
- Strong secretarial skills, including document production and proof reading
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workloads in order to manage multiple tasks effectively
- A professional and confident communicator, both written and verbal
- A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to work both independently and alongside the Office Manager
