About the Role:
Key Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases across web, mobile, API, and enterprise applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and cross-browser testing.
- Build and maintain automated tests using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Appium. Playwright is strongly preferred.
- Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate test automation, script generation, test case creation, debugging, locator maintenance, and regression testing.
- Leverage AI to identify test coverage gaps, prioritize testing based on risk, analyze defects, and improve QA productivity across multiple projects.
- Review and validate AI-generated test cases and automation scripts before implementation.
- Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and story refinement to identify issues early through shift-left testing.
- Support production validation and release monitoring through shift-right testing.
- Log, track, reproduce, and verify defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Work closely with developers, BAs, project managers, and distributed project teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Contribute to sprint planning, QA estimation, release validation, and continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform basic accessibility and SQL/data validation where required.
- Maintain QA documentation, test reports, regression suites, and release sign-offs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–3 years of professional QA/testing experience.
- ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent QA certification is required.
- Strong understanding of manual testing, test case design, defect lifecycle, regression testing, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong hands-on experience with test automation. Playwright is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Appium is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Practical experience using AI tools for QA and test automation, including:
- AI-generated test cases and test scenarios
- AI-assisted automation script development
- AI-assisted debugging and defect analysis
- Test coverage and risk analysis
- Test maintenance and locator/script updates
- Ability to use AI tools effectively to manage automation and testing across multiple projects.
- Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar tools.
- Basic SQL knowledge for data validation.
- Understanding of shift-left, shift-right, risk-based testing, and continuous testing.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills for working with international clients.
Good to Have
- Experience with JMeter, k6, or other performance testing tools.
- Experience testing design systems and component libraries.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines / QAOps.
- Knowledge of self-healing and AI-driven test automation.
- Basic understanding of WCAG/accessibility and security testing.
- Experience working with offshore/distributed teams and international clients.
- Experience using tools such as GitHub Copilot or other AI-powered coding/testing assistants.
