Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems in commercial and residential buildings
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams to diagnose issues accurately
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC units
- Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and improve efficiency
- Troubleshoot equipment problems efficiently by applying mechanical knowledge, electrical diagnostics, and plumbing expertise
- Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, thermostats, valves, and electrical wiring while adhering to safety standards including EPA regulations for refrigerants
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain repairs or maintenance procedures and ensure high levels of customer service satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with construction experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance procedures
- Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and building automation system controls
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, refrigeration, electrical systems, and mechanical systems repair
- Hands-on experience with hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting
- Familiarity with HVAC/R (Heating,Ventilation,A/C/Refrigeration) systems including boilers and appliances repair
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling required; additional certifications in HVAC design or electrical diagnostics are a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a company van safely
