LTM Industries Ltd is a structural steel fabrication and erection company based in Spruce Grove, Alberta. As an integrated fab-erect shop, we handle projects from estimating through fabrication and field erection, serving commercial, institutional, and industrial clients across Western Canada. We're a growing, hands-on team where you'll get exposure to every side of the business — not just one narrow lane.
About the Role
We're looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support our project management and estimating functions. This is a broad, hands-on role — you'll work directly with the ownership/PM team across estimating, project coordination, scheduling, and client communication. No prior construction experience is required; we're looking for the right attitude and aptitude, and we'll train you on the technical side.
What You'll Do
- Assist with takeoffs, quantity surveys, and pricing support during the estimating/bidding process
- Help track project schedules, deliverables, and deadlines across active jobs
- Support day-to-day project coordination — RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, and change order tracking
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep projects moving
- Assist with job costing, documentation, and general project administration
- Coordinate between the shop (fabrication) and field (erection) teams to keep information flowing
- Support HR and general business administration tasks as needed
- Take on increasing responsibility as you learn the business — this role is a growth path, not a fixed lane
What We're Looking For
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Clear written and verbal communicator
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular); comfortable learning new software
- A genuine interest in construction, steel, or project management — prior experience is a bonus, not a requirement
- Self-starter who asks questions and takes ownership
- Valid driver's license (occasional site visits)
What We Offer
- Direct mentorship from ownership and senior PM staff — you'll learn the business from the inside
- Exposure to the full project lifecycle: estimating, fabrication, and field erection
- A small, integrated team where your work has visible impact
- Room to grow into a full Project Manager role as you develop
Pay: $49,008.00-$118,109.64 per year
Benefits:
- Dental care
- Life insurance
- Paid time off
- Vision care
