You will work closely with the Managing Director on a mixed litigation caseload, with a particular focus on labour law matters (CCMA, Labour Court, internal disciplinary and grievance processes), alongside general commercial and civil litigation in the High Court and Magistrates' Court.
**Key responsibilities**
- Drafting pleadings, notices, heads of argument and correspondence
- Preparing and managing CCMA referrals, conciliations and arbitrations
- Assisting with Labour Court review applications and appeals
- Trial and motion court preparation, including bundles and briefs to counsel
- Client liaison and file management
- General commercial litigation support (debt recovery, contractual disputes)
**Requirements**
- LLB degree
- Admitted attorney (or candidate attorney nearing admission) of the High Court of South Africa
- Demonstrable litigation experience, ideally including labour law/CCMA exposure
- Strong legal writing and research skills
- Sound working knowledge of the LRA, BCEA and CCMA rules
- Own transport (advantageous)
- High attention to detail, ability to work independently and meet deadlines
