Role Overview
As Luma expands its network of centres, we are looking for a driven and relationship-focused Manager – Business Development to accelerate growth by building and strengthening our healthcare referral network.
The role will focus on developing strategic relationships with gynecologists, fertility specialists, obstetricians, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare providers to increase awareness of Luma and drive patient referrals.
This is a highly field-oriented role requiring regular in-person meetings, relationship building, and engagement with doctors and key healthcare stakeholders across the assigned territory.
Key ResponsibilitiesDoctor & Referral Network Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with gynecologists, fertility specialists, obstetricians, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare providers.
- Develop and expand referral networks to drive patient acquisition and business growth.
- Conduct regular in-person meetings with doctors and healthcare professionals to educate them about Luma’s services and clinical offerings.
- Become the primary relationship owner for key doctors and healthcare partners within the assigned territory.
Business Development & Growth
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through strategic partnerships and referral channels.
- Create and execute territory-specific business development plans to achieve growth objectives.
- Generate, nurture, and convert leads into long-term referral partnerships.
- Track referral performance and identify opportunities to strengthen engagement and conversions.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Effectively communicate relevant clinical and scientific information related to fertility treatments, IVF, egg freezing, and reproductive health services.
- Represent Luma at medical conferences, CMEs, workshops, and relevant industry events.
- Build strong professional relationships with doctors and healthcare stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with internal clinical and CRM teams to ensure a smooth patient referral experience.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and developments within the fertility and women’s healthcare ecosystem.
- Gather market insights and provide recommendations to strengthen business development strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions, referral activities, and partnership initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports on partnership growth, referral performance, and territory development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, Marketing, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in healthcare sales, business development, fertility services, women’s health, stem cell banking, medical devices, or specialty pharmaceutical sales.
- Proven experience building and managing relationships with gynecologists, fertility specialists, hospitals, and healthcare providers.
- Experience selling high-value healthcare products or services involving doctor advocacy and patient conversion will be strongly preferred.
- Ability to confidently communicate scientific and clinical concepts with healthcare professionals.
- Strong existing network within the women’s healthcare and medical ecosystem is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Comfortable with extensive field travel for doctor meetings, partnership development, and industry events.
- Familiarity with local healthcare networks and referral ecosystems within Mumbai/assigned territories.
- Passion for improving access to fertility and women’s healthcare services.
