Position Summary
BUiLT is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring project materials, fixtures, cabinetry, hardware, and finished products are accurately prepared, documented, and shipped to meet customer and project schedules.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, safety-focused, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and accountability. This individual will work closely with warehouse, production, purchasing, and project management teams to ensure materials move efficiently through the facility and arrive on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, documentation, and scheduling carriers.
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantities, condition, and accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to support production and project schedules.
- Maintain accurate shipping records, bills of lading, freight documentation, and inventory transactions.
- Communicate with freight carriers, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams regarding shipment status and delivery schedules.
- Track incoming and outgoing shipments and provide status updates to project managers and production teams.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Shipping & Receiving or similar role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Ability to read material lists, packing lists, purchase orders, and shipping documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with inventory tracking systems and basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Experience in cabinetry, millwork, manufacturing, or commercial fabrication environments preferred.
