Hays + Sons wants to hire YOU as a full-time Restoration Technician in our Contents division. This position has a starting pay of up to $21 an hour, depending on experience!

What Does a Contents Technician Do? In our Contents division, we deal with people's valuable possessions. Whether it’s a burst pipe, a kitchen fire, or the aftermath of a severe storm, people rely on us during their most stressful moments. That’s where you come in. As a Contents Technician, you’ll follow our team into a damaged structure and pack out possessions.
The following are the primary duties associated with this position:
- Conduct inventory of items within affected home
- Organize and pack salvageable personal property, according to SOP
- Load/offload trucks of personal property
- Assist with cleaning and vaulting of property as needed
This job requires regularly lifting over 20 pounds.
This job requires occasional travel, with accommodations covered by employer.

In addition to your hourly rate and overtime pay, you will receive 1.5x your pay when you wear protective equipment, and 2x your pay for emergency jobs outside your regular working hours.
Description:
The Restoration Technician is a first responder on property loss situations and helps mitigate damage in residential and commercial structures.
Responsibilities:
- Water extraction and mitigation
- Fire and smoke cleaning and restoration
- Microbial remediation
- Vandalism, crime scene, and biohazard clean-up
- Demolition
- Emergency board-up and structure security
- Provide the highest level of customer service by demonstrating our values
- All other duties or projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a national criminal background check and motor vehicle report background check
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to be on-call 24 hours a day, on a rotating schedule
- Comfortable lifting and moving heavy equipment throughout a structure
- Some restoration industry, construction, or maintenance experience preferred
