Position Summary

Moss Motors, Ltd. is the world's oldest and largest supplier of British sports car restoration and accessory products and modern accessories for the Mazda Miata. We are seeking an experienced Outbound Warehouse Manager to lead day-to-day outbound operations at our East Coast facility. This role is accountable for the people, workflow, performance, and safe execution of order picking, quality control, invoicing, packing, and shipping.

The successful candidate will be a visible, hands-on manager who sets priorities, manages employee time and staffing, develops team members, uses performance data to address issues, and ensures customer orders ship accurately and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead all daily outbound operations, including order picking, quality control, invoicing, packing, shipping, staging, and carrier handoff.

· Plan labor and workflow based on order volume, service priorities, staffing levels, and shipping deadlines; reallocate resources as conditions change.

· Manage employee schedules, attendance, timekeeping, missed punches, overtime, breaks, and timecard accuracy in accordance with company policy and applicable requirements.

· Set clear daily expectations, assign work, monitor progress, and hold employees accountable for productivity, quality, attendance, safety, and conduct.

· Coach, train, and develop employees; conduct performance discussions, document concerns, recognize strong performance, and partner with Human Resources on corrective action when needed.

· Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators such as orders shipped, units per labor hour, shipping accuracy, backlog, overtime, damages, and on-time completion.

· Identify operational issues, determine root causes, take timely corrective action, and recommend sustainable process improvements.

· Maintain accurate and efficient material flow and coordinate with inbound, inventory, sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve order or inventory issues.

· Ensure employees have the training, tools, equipment, documentation, and system access required to perform their work successfully.

· Promote a safe, organized workplace; enforce safety procedures, conduct required training, address hazards promptly, and support incident investigations.

· Support inventory control activities, cycle counts, overstock management, receiving, and other warehouse functions as business needs require.

· Perform other duties and lead special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

· High school diploma required; associate degree in operations, logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field preferred.

· Three to five years of warehouse leadership experience, including direct responsibility for employee performance, staffing, workflow, and results.

· Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, balance competing priorities, meet shipping deadlines, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience reviewing timecards, managing attendance, scheduling labor, and controlling overtime preferred.

· Working knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory flow, shipping systems, performance metrics, and continuous improvement practices.

· Strong leadership, communication, coaching, organization, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn warehouse, shipping, and timekeeping systems.

· Ability to operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment; forklift experience is preferred, and certification training may be provided.

· Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds and work on the warehouse floor for extended periods.

Physical Requirements

· Regular standing, walking, and sitting throughout the workday.

· Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand movements.

· Ability to climb ladders of varying heights.

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

· Ability to safely lift materials to approximately four feet in height.
