Job Description
The Architectural Designer helps carry residential projects from concept through construction, working closely with senior staff and the rest of the studio. They contribute design ideas, and develop projects through all architectural phases (PD, DD, CD, CA) under the mentorship and guidance of the principal architect and other senior staff. As we're an architecture and interior design practice, they collaborate with our interiors team to keep a cohesive design direction from foundational concepts through finishes and furnishings.
Responsibilities
- Contribute design ideas and help develop the design direction for high-end residential projects.
- Develop designs into resolved architecture — space planning, building systems, materials, and detailing.
- Produce and coordinate construction documents across design phases.
- Coordinate with consultants and support projects through permitting and construction administration.
- Participate in client and project meetings, and help prepare presentation materials.
- Collaborate with the interiors team to carry a cohesive design direction through finishes and furnishings.
- Learn from senior staff and take on growing responsibility as your skills develop.
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture (B. Arch required, M.Arch preferred).
- 3–5 years of professional experience
- 2 years of residential design experience
- A passion for architecture and a strong sense of design.
- A working command of space planning and building systems for residential projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD / Sketchup / Rhino / Photoshop / rendering software
- Proficiency in Revit (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively with general contractors and consultants (including structural, civil, landscape, surveyor, mechanical, etc.)
- Strong ability to sketch and develop ideas by hand or digitally.
- Strong organizational skills to manage several projects while meeting deadlines
- Familiarity with California residential practice — code and permitting.
- Working toward architectural licensure (preferred).

Intermediate designer
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
3 years minimum experience working in a fast-paced Architecture office with involvement in all design phases, from conceptual design, design development through construction documentation and site visits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High-end residential design experience
· Strong, confident design talent
· Passion for design, both interior design and architecture
· Passionate about producing accurate and thorough drawings
· Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited university required.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft Office and Photoshop

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
