Cooperations with university and research institute can help to identify innovative solutions and overcome significant technical challenges to make these products a reality.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated PhD student intern to join our RF/mmWave engineering team and contribute to the research, design, simulation, and validation of next-generation broadband communication integrated circuits. The internship offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced RFIC, system, layout, and validation engineers on advanced millimeter-wave technologies, with a focus on innovation, technical rigor, and practical impact.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the design and simulation of RF/mmWave circuit blocks and passive structures for broadband communication ICs.

- Perform topology studies, trade-off analysis, and design optimization based on system-level requirements.

- Run circuit, electromagnetic, and mixed-signal simulations using industry-standard design tools.

- Contribute to lab measurement planning, silicon characterization, and design-versus-silicon correlation.

- Document findings clearly and present technical results to design, system, and project stakeholders.

Job Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or a related technical field.

- Strong academic background in RF, microwave, mmWave, analog, or mixed-signal circuit design.

- Experience with RF/mmWave simulation tools and design flows such as Cadence, Spectre RF, ADS, EMX, HFSS, MATLAB, Python, or equivalent tools.

- Knowledge of CMOS RFIC design, passive component modeling, transmission lines, S-parameters, impedance matching, noise, linearity, stability, and power efficiency.

- Hands-on experience with RF laboratory equipment, measurement automation, or silicon characterization is a plus.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with a proactive and can-do attitude.

What You Will Gain:

- Hands-on exposure to advanced semiconductor product development in RF/mmWave technologies.

- Mentorship from experienced engineers working on innovative broadband communication solutions.

- Experience translating research ideas into practical design, simulation, and validation activities.

The opportunity to contribute to technology that supports future high-speed wireless connectivity applications.
