Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director, Treasury Deposit Analytics, the Treasury Deposit Analytics Manager supports deposit-focused analytics, reporting, forecasting, and financial modelling for Treasury. The role provides analysis and insights to support deposit pricing, portfolio monitoring, and related business decisions, while maintaining core models and reporting used across the function.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis of client deposit balances, behaviors, and trends to support Treasury and Finance decision-making.
- Maintain and enhance deposit reporting, dashboards, financial models, and forecasting tools to support deposit management activities, including profitability, Net Interest Income, yield, duration, and balance analysis.
- Prepare and present analysis and insights using data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Support the Director in developing insights, forecasts, and recommendations related to deposit pricing, portfolio performance, and profitability.
- Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, validate assumptions, and support analytical initiatives led by the Director.
- Maintain and enhance analytical models, and perform analysis to highlight notable trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Utilize centralized data repositories and analytics platforms to support reporting, forecasting, modelling, and analytical initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs and support the identification of deposit pricing, growth, profitability, and portfolio optimization opportunities.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis for senior leadership under the direction of the Director.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, data quality, and governance within the treasury deposit analytics function.
- Support additional analytics, reporting, and forecasting activities as required.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate business or mathematics degree; CFA or MBA designation an asset
- 5+ years of progressive working experience preferably in treasury and/or financial services
- 3+ years of working experience in advanced data analytics
- Knowledge of capital markets, institutional investors, deposit products, asset-liability management concepts, and forecasting methodologies an asset.
- Expert knowledge and experience with data analytics, visualization, and reporting tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, SAS, and Tableau, including experience using SQL, Python, and PySpark to develop analytical solutions. Experience with Databricks is an asset.
- Excellent business acumen with ability to drive business insights through data driven analysis
- Sound understanding of data management principles, reporting governance, and data quality.

Job Specific Competencies:
-The salary band for this position ranges between $98,000 - $148,000.
- Individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, market conditions, relevant experience, education, training, and internal equity.
