Job Overview: This position develops grant applications, allocations, and reports using a grants design tool and custom software solutions that enable the Office of Public Instruction (OPI) to facilitate and maintain an integrated data collection system. This position performs all aspects of software development, requirements gathering, analysis, design, coding, testing, and documentation for all assigned projects and programs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Behaviors):

- Knowledge of principles, practices, and theories of computer programming, system design, analysis, and relational database applications.

- Knowledge to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

- Knowledge in Microsoft office suite.

- Skilled in verbal and written communication.

- Skilled in customer service, strong independent judgment, and problem-solving techniques.

- Skilled in maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of individuals.

- Ability to pay attention to detail.

- Ability to be dependable in performing job-related duties.

- Ability to independently act and responsible for solving problems.

- Ability to stay focused to achieve results and respect the ideas of others.

Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience):

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree.

- Two years of experience in Microsoft office suite, data analysis, data technical problem solving and projects or related experience.

- Other combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
