Responsibilities

Team Introduction:

The Ethics Office Centre of Excellence (COE) is a central hub that acts as the strategic support base for operational teams (BU) to achieve three key objectives: enhancing operational efficiency and quality, ensuring robust compliance operations, and supporting management decision-making. The COE team empowers BUs by setting unified global standards, building efficient systems and tools, driving quality and process improvements, and delivering data-driven insights to leadership.

The COE's core mandate spans four pillars:

(1) Program Evaluation — measuring the effectiveness and maturity of the global compliance program;

(2) Systems and Quality Management — institutionalising processes and boosting efficiency through data, systems, and quality assurance for robust tracking and audibility;

(3) Global Standards and Process Optimisation — ensuring consistent implementation across regions and upholding organisational fairness; and

(4) Risk Reporting — providing management with visualised, actionable reports.

The COE also leads strategic innovation projects including the application of AI tools to ethics operations.

The Ethics Office, which the COE belongs to, was established to institute and maintain high ethical standards and a culture of integrity through four main pillars: developing an overarching ethical governance program, implementing and maintaining ethics policies and processes, providing education and awareness to employees via communications and training, and ensuring a highly ethical culture by encouraging employees to speak up and ensuring potential misconduct is properly investigated.

Responsibilities:

As a COE team member, you will partner closely with regional business units to understand operational pain points and support the team in driving measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, compliance, and audibility across the global ethics program. Key responsibilities include:

- Systems & Operational Monitoring: Support the design, implementation, and governance of global ethics systems and workflows, including Speak Up platforms, the Case Management System (CMS), dashboards, disciplinary records, and data integration; track operational metrics (e.g., investigation TAT, overdue cases, quality gaps), conduct quality assurance reviews, manage internal data requests and compliance lists, and support remediation tracking.

- Speak Up Administration & Policy Coordination: Administer the global Speak Up program — oversee allegation intake channels, perform procedural checks on CMS and non-CMS allegations, coordinate triage and routing of cases, and maintain consolidated disciplinary records; support cross-regional alignment and periodic updates of corporate ethics policies (Code of Conduct, Conflicts of Interest, Gifts & Entertainment, Speak Up, NDAH, Social Media Policy, Lark Community Guidelines, etc.) and global operational standards.

- Program Evaluation & Risk Reporting: Support global ethics program evaluations, including organisational health checks, industry benchmarking, assist in preparing executive-level reports for the Ethics Committee, R&R Quarterly Meetings, workforce efficiency reviews, and ad hoc leadership requests, providing visualised insights on ethics metrics, case trends, and program effectiveness.

- Projects, Innovation & Capability Building: Contribute to strategic projects, including AI applications in ethics operations (e.g., AI-assisted reporting, evidence analysis), supporting pilots and helping transition proven solutions to BU teams for global rollout; help build shared enablement resources (wiki, templates, case libraries) and support best-practice sharing between CN and ex-CN teams.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification(s):

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Compliance, Public Policy, or a related field.

- Extensive experience in Ethics & Compliance, Risk Management, Investigations, Legal, or related functions.

- Hands-on experience with case management / Speak Up or helpline platforms, including data reporting, workflow management, and operational tooling.

- Strong analytical and program evaluation skills, with experience in QA, operational monitoring, audit, and translating data into actionable insights.

- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives across regions, cultures, and seniority levels.

- High level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment when handling sensitive and confidential matters.

- Proficiency in Mandarin is required to engage effectively with China-based stakeholders and review Mandarin-language materials.

Preferred Qualification(s):

- Hands-on experience with AI tooling, process automation, or digital transformation initiatives in a compliance, legal, or regulatory field.

- Experience leading ethics and compliance programs in fast-paced, high-growth, global technology environments, ideally within social media, content platforms, or digital entertainment.

- Experience working with ethics case management systems, internal investigations, risk assessments, and quality assurance processes in a large, matrixed global organization.

- Demonstrated ability to navigate culturally diverse environments and communicate effectively across global teams and leadership.
