Position: Senior Data Scientist | Contract to Hire
Location: Newark, NJ
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite

We are seeking Senior Data Scientist, to support a major AI and Machine Learning initiative. This role will focus on developing and deploying advanced AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions that drive measurable business outcomes across large-scale enterprise data environments.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline
- Strong Data Science experience
- Hands-on Machine Learning expertise
- Generative AI experience
- Advanced Python programming skills
- Experience building Agentic AI solutions
- Ability to develop production-ready code and support deployment into production environments

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of AI and Machine Learning solutions
- Build and implement Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities
- Partner with Machine Learning Engineers, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to Data Science team members
- Develop scalable and production-ready AI products
- Drive AI adoption and innovation across the organization
- Identify opportunities to improve models and generate business value from enterprise data
Preferred Experience
- Insurance, Financial Services, or Retirement Services industry experience
- Graph databases and semantic data models
- Cloud-based AI platform experience
- A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong Data Science and Machine Learning backgrounds who have recently worked on GenAI and Agentic AI solutions and are interested in leading high-impact AI initiatives within a large enterprise environment.
Pay: Up to $130,000.00 per year
