Modular Systems Electrician — Medical Units

Compensation varies with experience.

A day in the life

At 6:00 a.m., you step onto a clean, climate-controlled production floor—no rain delays, no driving from site to site, just one address and steady, year-round work. By 6:15, you’re reading a new wiring schematic for a medical modular unit. Before lunch, you’ve laid out conduit runs, pulled ACS and HCF cable, and verified measurements so panels, outlets, switches, and lighting land exactly where they should. In the afternoon, you’re testing circuits, resolving a 3-way wiring quirk, and documenting everything to code and company standards. You wrap up by organizing tools and collaborating with teammates to hit production goals. Then you head out at 2:30 p.m.—unless you’ve opted into overtime through 4:30, or the occasional Saturday.

What you’ll do

- Install wiring and electrical systems in medical modular units, including outlets, switches, panels, and lighting.

- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to plan and execute work.

- Use measurement tools to ensure precise placement and alignment of components.

- Test systems and components for functionality and safety; document results.

- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues efficiently.

- Work to applicable electrical codes and company standards.

- Maintain tools/equipment and keep a tidy, organized workspace.

- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

- Collaborate with the production team to meet throughput targets.

- Apply conduit skills and experience with ACS and HCF cable.

- Perform additional tasks as needed to support production.

Schedule and environment

Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.; overtime available to 4:30 p.m. with some Saturdays. Work is indoors in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility—steady production rather than project-to-project.

Enjoy one consistent worksite, DMC cross-training, and paid certifications so you can learn the entire build, not just your scope.

What you bring

- Hands-on electrical experience; background in electrical engineering or related fields is a plus.

- Journeyman level preferred; proficiency in conduit bending and a Journeyman’s License are valued.

- Knowledge and experience with conduit, ACS and HCF cables, 3-way wiring, and troubleshooting.

- Strong grasp of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety best practices.

- Ability to read blueprints/schematics and use measurement tools accurately.

- Familiarity with electrical codes and use of hand/power tools.

- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical work for extended periods.

- Detail orientation, quality craftsmanship, and a safety-first mindset.

- Capable of working independently and as part of a team; follows instructions and procedures.
