About the Opportunity
Our client, a global organization serving the energy and industrial sectors, is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to help lead the development and deployment of enterprise AI solutions.
This is a hands-on technical role for an engineer who can take AI and machine-learning solutions beyond experimentation and into production. You'll work across AI/ML engineering, data engineering, MLOps, and enterprise data architecture while helping the organization expand its use of agentic AI and autonomous workflows.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions capable of executing multi-step business workflows.
- Identify high-impact AI opportunities across IT, Finance, HR, Operations, and other business functions.
- Build and maintain production ML pipelines covering data ingestion, model training, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
- Deploy and manage AI/ML solutions within Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.
- Improve the quality and consistency of enterprise data used by AI systems.
- Develop data governance, taxonomy, metadata, and data-quality standards.
- Monitor AI models in production for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Partner with engineering, data, IT, and business teams to translate business problems into technical AI solutions.
- Serve as a technical resource on emerging AI/ML technologies, tools, and best practices.
- Help establish scalable standards for AI adoption across the organization.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, AI development, data science, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience deploying machine-learning models into production.
- Strong Python development skills.
- Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and/or Scikit-learn.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Understanding of MLOps, including CI/CD, model monitoring, deployment, and versioning.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Experience with data governance, data quality, and enterprise data architecture.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Must currently reside in the Houston area and be able to work onsite.
Highly Preferred
- Experience developing or integrating AI agents or autonomous systems.
- Experience with agent orchestration or multi-agent frameworks.
- Knowledge of ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems and their underlying data.
- SQL experience.
- Power BI and/or SSRS experience.
- Experience implementing AI solutions within an industrial, manufacturing, energy, or enterprise environment.
Why This Opportunity?
This role offers the opportunity to help shape an organization's AI strategy while remaining deeply involved in the technology. Rather than maintaining a single model or application, you'll help build the infrastructure, standards, and intelligent systems supporting AI adoption across multiple areas of the business.
