We manufacture and distribute a wide range of products including concrete sealers, color hardeners, release agents, stampable overlay systems, thin overlay systems, decorative concrete tools, and stamping molds.
We are seeking a strong, hands-on Operations Manager / Plant Manager to oversee daily plant operations, production efficiency, inventory control, equipment maintenance, team leadership, and operational excellence.
Position Summary
The Operations Manager / Plant Manager will be responsible for managing all day-to-day manufacturing and operational activities within our production facility. This individual must be a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands manufacturing processes, and is mechanically inclined with the ability to oversee equipment maintenance and operational reliability.
The ideal candidate will lead by example, hold teams accountable, improve efficiencies, maintain quality standards, and ensure the facility operates safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations and production scheduling
- Ensure production goals, deadlines, and quality standards are consistently met
- Coordinate workflow between manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, and purchasing departments
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods
- Improve operational efficiencies and reduce waste
- Maintain organized production systems and standard operating procedures
Equipment & Facility Maintenance
- Ensure all manufacturing equipment, mixers, pumps, compressors, forklifts, and production machinery are properly maintained and operating efficiently
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and coordinate repairs when necessary
- Work closely with maintenance personnel and outside vendors
- Maintain facility safety and cleanliness standards
- Monitor equipment performance to minimize downtime and costly interruptions
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise plant personnel and department leads
- Train, mentor, and hold employees accountable to company standards
- Foster a productive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
- Conduct performance evaluations and assist with staffing decisions
- Improve communication between departments
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and workplace safety standards
- Enforce proper handling and storage procedures for materials and chemicals
- Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing or plant management experience
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Mechanically inclined with hands-on understanding of industrial equipment and maintenance systems
- Experience managing production teams and workflows
- Ability to troubleshoot operational and mechanical issues
- Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations
- Experience in coatings, concrete products, chemical manufacturing, or related industries is a strong plus
- Forklift and warehouse operations experience preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $100,000 to 125,000 annually, based on experience
