Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Restaurant Shift Leader to oversee daily operations and ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth shift transitions and efficient service delivery
- Lead, motivate, and train staff in food preparation, customer service, POS system usage (including Aloha POS and Micros POS), and food safety protocols
- Oversee food handling, cooking, and production processes to maintain high quality standards in casual dining or fine dining environments
- Manage inventory control, including stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile register reports at shift end
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards through regular monitoring and staff training
- Assist with interviewing, onboarding new team members, and providing ongoing training & development opportunities
- Monitor restaurant performance metrics such as profit & loss analysis, budgeting, and overall operational efficiency
- Support kitchen management activities including food production oversight, catering coordination, banquet service, or bar operations as needed
- Foster a positive team environment by promoting effective communication, supervising staff performance, and managing conflict resolution
Experience
- Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments or casual dining settings with supervisory or managerial responsibilities
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety management
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through staff training, supervision, and performance management
- Experience managing inventory control, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and cost control measures
- Previous roles involving hospitality management including kitchen management or managing hospitality teams preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff and manage managerial responsibilities confidently
- Knowledge of food industry standards including catering experience or banquet operations is a plus
- Ability to handle basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and inventory purposes

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
