Swift Education is working with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Putney to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis, starting as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years teacher looking to secure a long-term position within a supportive and nurturing school environment.

The Role as a Nursery Teacher

As a Nursery Teacher, you will play a key role in creating a safe, stimulating and engaging learning environment for young children. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Early Years provision, supporting children's development and helping them to build the foundations for a successful start to their education.

You will work closely with the wider Early Years team and school staff to ensure every child receives the support, encouragement and opportunities they need to thrive.

Key responsibilities as a Nursery Teacher include:

- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning activities

- Supporting children's social, emotional and academic development

- Creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment

- Monitoring children's progress and contributing to assessments

- Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues

- Working collaboratively with the Early Years team

- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence

- Ensuring safeguarding and school policies are followed at all times

About You

The school is looking for a passionate and committed Nursery Teacher who can bring energy, creativity and enthusiasm to the classroom.

The ideal candidate for this Nursery Teacher role will have:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Experience teaching within Early Years / Nursery

- A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

- A nurturing and child-centred approach

- Strong communication and organisational skills

- The ability to create engaging learning experiences

- A commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of children

- The ability to work effectively as part of a team

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: £170.00-£254.00 per day
