Ball and Buck is seeking a driven Wholesale Manager to own and grow our wholesale channel across boutique retailers, multi-door stores, hunting & fishing lodges, and corporate accounts. You’ll manage the full sales cycle—prospecting to reorder—while representing the brand in the field, at tradeshows, and in key industry events. Every action is documented in our CRM, and you’ll partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Marketing to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Full-Cycle Selling

- Prospect & Qualify: Build targeted lists; conduct cold outbound (phone/email/LinkedIn); schedule in-person and virtual meetings.

- Pitch & Present: Conduct line showings (virtual and on-site); tailor assortments by door type and customer profile; communicate features/benefits and brand positioning.

- Quote & Close: Build proposals and terms; write orders accurately; coordinate pricing, MOQs, and delivery windows; secure reorders and fill-ins.

- Fulfillment & Service: Liaise with Operations to ensure on-time, in-full delivery; monitor ship windows and exceptions; manage post-sale support and escalations.

- Account Growth: Develop annual and seasonal account plans; drive sell-through with replenishment, merchandising suggestions, and marketing activations.

CRM, Reporting & Process

- CRM Ownership: Log all activities (calls, emails, meetings, samples, quotes, orders); maintain accurate pipelines, next steps, and close dates.

- Forecasting: Deliver weekly pipeline and monthly/seasonal revenue forecasts; track bookings vs. targets; maintain 3x pipeline coverage.

- Territory Management: Visit each active account at least once per year; map white-space opportunities and open new doors.

Events & Trade Shows

- Industry Representation: Attend and work wholesale trade shows; set appointments in advance; conduct follow-up to convert post-show interest.

- Consumer Events: Support consumer-facing events and field activations to deepen product knowledge and gather market feedback.

- Travel: Regular travel for shows, account visits, and regional roadwork (seasonal peaks expected).

Product Mastery & Training

- Deep Product Knowledge: Learn features, materials, construction, benefits, and selling tactics across the full line.

- Onboarding & Ongoing Training: Complete in-person retail training in our Dallas store; watch product training videos; read and apply company operations manuals.

- Merchandising & Sell-Through: Advise accounts on assortment planning, floor sets, and seasonal transitions to maximize turns and margin.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Operations: Coordinate delivery timelines, substitutions, and backorders; reduce chargebacks and returns through order accuracy.

- Marketing: Align on co-op marketing, launch calendars, and content needs for key accounts.

- Product/Merch: Share market feedback on fits, colors, pricing, and packaging; contribute to seasonal line planning.

Communication & Availability

- Tools: Proficient with email and Slack for daily communication and rapid response.

- Responsiveness: Be available when customer needs arise, including occasional evenings/weekends during shows and peak seasons.

Qualifications

- 3–7+ years in wholesale sales (apparel/outdoor/lifestyle preferred) with proven new-door openings and revenue growth.

- Strong full-cycle sales skills (prospecting presenting negotiating closing servicing).

- CRM proficiency (Zoho preferred) with disciplined pipeline management and reporting.

- Excellent presentation skills (virtual and in-person); confident with line showings and assortment planning.

- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple seasons, doors, and ship windows simultaneously.

- Willingness to travel regularly; valid driver’s license; able to lift and transport sample sets (up to ~40 lbs).

- Dallas Preferred but open to remote roles for the right candidates.
