About the Project:

The U.S. Department of State (DOS) has awarded Green Powered Technology (GPTech) the Ukraine Reconstruction Support (URS) Program contract to provide technical, operational, and administrative support for critical infrastructure restoration and recovery efforts throughout Ukraine. GPTech is seeking an experienced professional to provide IT support to its URS Program Office in Kyiv, Ukraine. The short-term IT Support Consultant will be responsible for onboard-ready workstation deployment, office infrastructure setup, and daily technical assistance. The primary focus is preparing and optimizing Windows laptops for new hires, configuring local network office equipment (specifically HP printers and MFPs), and delivering responsive, on-demand troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues to ensure uninterrupted business operations.

Responsibilities:

Laptop Preparation & Onboarding:

- Verify, update, and install critical security patches for the Windows operating system.

- Install standard core software packages and configure corporate email clients.

- Perform secure data wiping and factory resets on returned laptops to protect data privacy.

Office Equipment & Peripherals Setup:

- Integrate printers and Multi-Function Printers (MFPs) into the local office network via Wi-Fi or LAN.

- Deploy official, up-to-date HP drivers across all user laptops.

- Configure network scanning workflows, specifically Scan-to-Folder and Scan-to-Email protocols.

On-Demand Technical Support:

- Provide rapid-response incident resolution for daily user issues, including but not limited to:

- Troubleshooting faulty webcams, audio loss, and undetected headsets during video conferences.

- Resolving dropped office Wi-Fi signals, corporate VPN failures, and local printer/network drive disconnects.

- Fixing Windows freezes, file access errors, browser/email glitches, and recovering accidentally deleted shortcuts or applications.

- Assisting staff with basic Windows customization and external hardware setup (monitors, mice, docks).

- Other IT support activities may be requested. The IT support consultant will receive requests from the Senior Operations Manager and report to them while on assignment.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience providing systems administration and IT support services, preferably in a professional office environment.

- Hardware and software troubleshooting.

- Experience supporting users remotely and on-site.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Fluent Ukrainian and good working level of English required.

- Experience handling sensitive project information and commitment to ensuring confidentiality as needed
