Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Helper/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Assist with the setup, cleanup, and organization of construction sites, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace
- Support skilled workers by handling materials, tools, and equipment with precision and care
- Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning heavy materials or equipment in accordance with safety regulations
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and technical drawings to aid in project execution
- Support erosion control measures to prevent soil erosion and maintain environmental compliance
- Operate power tools under supervision, ensuring proper use and maintenance for optimal performance
- Follow all workplace safety protocols, including implementation of OSHA safety standards, use of respiratory protection, climbing safety procedures, and other personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
Qualifications
- Prior industrial construction experience or familiarity with construction workplaces is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is a plus
- Knowledge of erosion control techniques and environmental safety practices is advantageous
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, climbing, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts
- Understanding of construction safety regulations and OSHA standards to maintain a safe work environment
- Ability to operate power tools safely and responsibly while adhering to safety guidelines
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for collaboration on-site
