The Role
We’re looking for a Tax Accountant with approximately 2+ years of Australian tax preparation experience, ideally gained within an Australian accounting firm or BPO environment.
You’ll manage and support a portfolio of Australian clients, with a strong focus on tax compliance, accounting and client service.
This is an opportunity to work with high-growth technology and online businesses, gain exposure to a diverse range of Australian entities and industries, and develop your technical and advisory capabilities in a genuinely collaborative remote environment.
You’ll be trusted to take ownership of your work while having access to coaching, technical support and ongoing professional development.
About You
You’re an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working with Australian clients and wants to continue building your expertise in Australian tax and business services.
You’ll ideally have:
- 2+ years of experience preparing Australian tax returns in public practice, an Australian accounting firm or BPO environment.
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax compliance and accounting principles.
- Experience preparing tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals.
- Experience with GST, PAYG, BAS and FBT.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Accountancy or a related discipline.
- CPA qualification or a genuine commitment to pursuing professional qualification is highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Confidence communicating with clients and working collaboratively with colleagues.
- A proactive, curious and growth-oriented mindset.
- The ability to work independently while knowing when to ask questions or seek guidance.
- An interest in technology and using modern tools to improve the way accounting work is delivered.
Experience with accounting platforms such as Xero and other cloud-based applications will be highly regarded.
