About the Team
The DevOps Engineering team keeps our cloud environments reliable, available, and high-performing — enabling smooth releases and infrastructure that scales with a large scale SaaS platform.
We focus on helping product teams ship quickly and safely, aligning infrastructure with Workday's standards, and automating as much of the software delivery lifecycle as possible. Going forward, we'll keep deepening automation, expanding observability, and driving consistency across environments.
We're a distributed team across the US and Vietnam that operates as one — with real ownership, high accountability, and meaningful, technically challenging work. If you value autonomy, collaborative problem-solving, and improving how complex systems run in production, you'll fit right in.
About the Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in keeping our systems reliable, our releases seamless, and our infrastructure aligned with Workday’s standards. You will bring deep experience in DevOps practices and tooling and apply that experience to real, production-facing challenges every day.
This role is about more than just writing automation. You will evaluate when to automate and when a different approach is the right call. You will identify gaps, take initiative, and drive solutions forward without waiting to be asked. Your ability to see a need and fill it will be one of your greatest assets on this team.
