Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our dynamic retail team! Duties
- Supervise daily store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
- Lead and motivate team members by providing clear direction, coaching, and ongoing training to enhance performance and customer service standards.
- Manage inventory levels through stock control, merchandising, purchasing, and inventory management systems to optimize product availability.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure exceptional service to promote customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) transactions, cashiering duties, and basic math calculations to ensure accuracy and security.
- Assist with recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing prospective employees and supporting employee orientation initiatives.
- Support operational tasks such as pricing strategies, merchandising displays, stock replenishment, and store cleanliness to maintain an inviting shopping environment.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory or team management experience within the retail industry or related fields.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of retail sales techniques, inventory control, POS systems, and cash handling procedures.
- Experience with employee orientation, training & development programs, and recruiting processes.
- Basic math skills for sales management, cashiering, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and budgeting activities.
- Familiarity with retail industry sales team management experience including merchandising, pricing strategies, and operational management.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
