Swiss Post

Hi there. We’re looking for a senior frontend developer to join the Design System team in Neuchâtel. If you’re pas-sionate about frontend development, web standards, and care about the craft, we’d love to hear from you! With you we create the Post of tomorrow.

Open source is an important part of how we work. Building in the open helps us collaborate with partners and the wider frontend community. Check out the repository you'll be contributing to at https://github.com/swisspost/design-system.

Your responsibilities.

As a core member of the Design System team, you build and maintain the frontend foundations of Swiss Post's digital products, used by millions of customers.

You work closely with DevOps teams across the organisation and help them adopt the Design System and solve frontend challenges.

Through your open-source work, your impact isvisible to developers both inside and outside Swiss Post.

You contribute to the evolution of Swiss Post's design and accessibility standards and turn them into reus-able components.

You code on a daily basis and, as a senior member of the team, mentor teammates, conduct reviews, write technical specifications, and drive technical initiatives.

Your profile

You have strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript, while knowledge of Sass, Stencil JS, or Storybook is an advantage.

You are curious about emerging web platform capabilities and evolving W3C standards and enjoy mentor-ing or teaching others.

You ideally have experience with Angular and knowledge of frameworks such as React, Vue, or Svelte, while experience contributing to a Design System or working with Web Components will set you apart.

Experience with WCAG standards is a plus, but most importantly you are passionate about accessibility and inclusive experiences.

You have a very good command of English, enabling you to collaborate effectively within our multicul-tural team, and a good command of French for your day-to-day exchanges with colleagues in the Neuchâtel office.

The Design System team is distributed across Bern Wankdorf and Neuchâtel, and we're looking for a new col-league to strengthen our team in Neuchâtel. This hybrid role combines team-agreed office days with the flexibility to work from home.
