Job Description
RN for busy plastic surgery office. Must be personable, enthusiastic, team player, focused on providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent clinic, Pre-Op and Post-op nursing care to patients.
- Attend patient consultations, obtain patient history, vital signs and photos provide patient quotes for services offered.
- Patient education.
- Demonstrate pre-operative instructions
- Create patient care plans and provide patient education including teaching post-operative care to patients and caregivers.
- Administration of medications, starting IV’s (as needed), and preparation of patients for surgery
- Communicate effectively with physicians and coworkers.
- Documentation of medical care within EMR and other documenting forms according to guidelines.
- Assist with office requirements as needed
- Follow accreditation and office guidelines, policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Requirements
- Current Colorado State RN license and in good standing. New grad acceptable.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Current BLS, ACLS Certification(or ACLS within 30 days of employment).
- Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations.
- Must be a team player.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
