Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Starker or Assembly Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties
- Assemble mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments according to technical drawings and production documents
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials within the manufacturing facility
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to ensure accurate construction and installation
- Conduct manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting, in compliance with safety standards and protocols
- Assist in process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting enhancements to assembly procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized work area adhering to safety standards in production environments
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets while ensuring quality control
- Follow manufacturing management practices and safety protocols diligently to uphold a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with assembly line operations and production workflows
- Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, interpreting technical drawings, and using measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers
- Proficiency in operating hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques is advantageous
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of safety standards in production settings, including proper manual handling techniques and safety protocol adherence
- Experience managing or supporting production or assembly teams is a plus for candidates seeking growth opportunities within manufacturing management roles
