What your day looks like

Start your shift with a safety huddle and the confidence that your craft keeps our operation running. You’ll move from scheduled work to the occasional urgent call, reading prints and specs, tracing circuits, and bringing systems back online. Along the way, you’ll document your work in our maintenance systems, keep your area spotless, and collaborate with repair crews when the job calls for extra hands.

Compensation & bonus

Pay: $40.06 per hour

Sign-on bonus: $10,000 (paid in 3 increments)

What you’ll take on

-
Complete all required regulatory and safety training; follow every safety rule and maintain a clean, orderly work area.

Review wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications, and work instructions for both scheduled tasks and emergency repairs, installations, and inspections.

Install, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, calibrate, program, time, construct, modify, and service a wide range of electrical and electronic equipment and systems, including: communication systems; mill and production machinery; electronic computing and control systems; power distribution and control equipment; measurement, recording, processing, and control instruments; indicators and gauges.

Plan logical troubleshooting approaches; determine materials and replacement parts; respond promptly to trouble calls.

Create sketches and simple layouts to support modifications or repairs.

Assemble and install conduit; inspect, adjust, repair, or replace wiring and faulty components on electronic devices using appropriate test equipment and hand tools to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operation.

Install conduit, switches, controls, and fixtures; assist with connecting electrical and electronic equipment for new installs or replacements.

Assist with installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance of high-voltage switchgear, cables, insulators, bushings, and related components.

Use required computer systems to plan work, execute tasks, and document results.

Obtain and maintain certifications for fork trucks, overhead cranes, man-lifts (scissor lifts), and other mobile equipment used in maintenance.

Perform general plant electrical maintenance, other assigned duties, and work with repair crews as directed.

What you bring

-
High School Diploma or GED and one of the following: successful completion of all requirements to graduate from the Wilton Maintenance Training Program; passing proficiency tests for the Wilton Maintenance Training Program coursework; or equivalent maintenance experience in an industrial environment performing similar technical work.

Willingness to work a rotating schedule covering days, afternoons, nights, and weekends.
