Duties
- Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, and sterile dressing changes using aseptic techniques.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current certification to practice.
- Proven experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory or hospice care.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices including vital signs measurement, specimen collection/processing, and medication administration.
- Familiarity with long-term care regulations, infection control protocols, and HIPAA confidentiality policies.
- Ability to perform clinical procedures such as catheter care, sterile dressing changes, and basic life support (BLS).
- Critical thinking skills combined with excellent communication abilities to effectively coordinate patient care and caregiver communication.
