About the Role

We are looking for a Marketing Engineer: a marketing-first operator who will become a capable technical builder. You do not need an engineering background: the role begins with a structured, full-time 12-week training program that takes you from a non-technical starting point to building, deploying, and owning real automations, integrations, and AI-powered marketing systems.

This is not a traditional software engineering role, and it is not a traditional marketing role. Once trained, you will map how our marketing actually runs, CRM, lifecycle and email, CMS, analytics, ad platforms, spreadsheets, and internal data, find the highest-value opportunities for automation and AI, and then build, deploy, and own the systems that capture that value.

What You'll Do

As you ramp up through training and beyond, you will:

Understand and map marketing operations:

map the marketing stack, its systems of record, data flows, manual handoffs, and duplicated work, and turn that map into a prioritized automation roadmap

Build automations and integrations:

design end-to-end workflows (trigger → context → decision → action → approval → logging) that connect CRM, email, CMS, analytics, and ad platforms through APIs, webhooks, and scheduled jobs

Own marketing data pipelines:

ingest, clean, transform, and move marketing data reliably using SQL and Python, with validation, deduplication, and quality checks built in

Ship AI systems:

build LLM-powered features with structured outputs, retrieval (RAG) over organizational context, tool/function calling, and agentic workflows — with human-in-the-loop review, approval gates, and confidence thresholds where actions carry risk

Make it production-grade:

design evaluations with representative datasets and rubrics, measure quality, cost, and failure cases, and add the logging, monitoring, retries, fallbacks, and error handling that let the organization depend on what you ship

Deploy, document, and hand off:

deploy systems on managed cloud platforms, write operator guides and architecture documentation, train stakeholders, and iterate based on observed behavior and business results

Partner across the business:

work with stakeholders to identify bottlenecks and repetitive work, define acceptance criteria and baseline metrics, and demonstrate the business value of every system you deliver

What We're Looking For

No technical background required. No professional software engineering experience is expected. We will teach you everything you need to build, through a dedicated training program and modern AI-assisted development tools.

Marketing experience (2–5 years):

a minimum of 2 to 5 years in marketing, growth, lifecycle/CRM, content, performance, or marketing operations. You understand how goals become campaigns, workflows, tools, data, actions, and measurement, and are eager to learn to build the systems behind them

Comfort with technology:

you enjoy learning new tools, are unafraid of spreadsheets, platforms, and settings, and are excited to learn to read, debug, and own code

Strong problem-solving ability:

you can break a messy problem into steps, test your assumptions, and persist through debugging

Curiosity about AI:

you are keen to work hands-on with AI coding assistants and LLM-powered systems, and to verify and own what you build with them

Ownership and communication:

you can work with stakeholders, document what you build, and see a system through from idea to something others depend on

Nice to Have

Hands-on experience administering marketing platforms (CRM, marketing automation, CMS, analytics, or ad platforms)

Any self-taught technical exposure: spreadsheet formulas, no-code/low-code automation tools (e.g., Zapier or Make), basic SQL or Python, or tinkering with AI tools

Prior completion of a marketing engineering program or a personal automation project you can show us

Training Provided — Your First 12 Weeks

The role starts with a structured, build-first 12-week program. No prior coding experience is assumed. You will learn:

Weeks 1–2:

programming foundations and AI-assisted coding — reading, writing, and debugging real programs

Weeks 3–4:

web systems, APIs and integrations, databases, SQL, and data automation

Week 5:

AI engineering fundamentals: LLM APIs, prompt and context design, retrieval (RAG), and evaluation

Weeks 6–7:

marketing fundamentals and the operating model of a marketing organization

Weeks 8–10:

AI systems (RAG, tools, agents), marketing automation engineering, and production reliability and deployment

Weeks 11–12:

a real deployment sprint: discover a high-value problem in our marketing organization, build the first working version, then ship, evaluate, document, and hand it off

What Success Looks Like

By the end of Week 5:

you can build a small database-backed application, integrate APIs, debug failures, and add an evaluated LLM capability with limited supervision

By the end of Week 12:

you have deployed a working system that creates measurable operational value for our marketing organization, complete with monitoring, documentation, and trained operators

Beyond the program:

you own a growing portfolio of marketing automations and AI workflows, and a roadmap of what to build next

You will own marketing systems end to end, from opportunity discovery through build, deployment, and operations. The role deliberately stops short of deep infrastructure engineering: enterprise networking, Kubernetes, Terraform, and advanced data-platform governance remain with our platform teams.

Scope of the Role

You will own marketing systems end to end, from opportunity discovery through build, deployment, and operations. The role deliberately stops short of deep infrastructure engineering: enterprise networking, Kubernetes, Terraform, and advanced data-platform governance remain with our platform teams.
