Role Summary

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) – Singapore will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing HR guidance and support across the full employee lifecycle. This individual contributor role requires strong stakeholder management, hands-on HR execution, and the ability to operate independently while partnering closely with business leaders and regional HR teams. The role will have significant exposure to employee and labor relations, requiring regular engagement with frontline employees, supervisors, and management teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on workforce, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and people management matters.

- Manage employee and labor relations matters, including supporting union partnerships, collective agreement discussions, grievance handling, and workforce communication initiatives.

- Build strong relationships with frontline employees through regular site visits and engagement activities to understand workforce concerns and business challenges.

- Partner with leaders to drive employee engagement, retention, performance management, talent development, and succession planning initiatives.

- Support change management and communication efforts across the business.

- Ensure compliance with local employment legislation, industrial relations requirements, and company policies.

- Conduct regular employee focus groups, listening sessions, and engagement activities to strengthen employee experience and workplace culture.

- Collaborate closely with business leaders to proactively identify and address people-related risks and opportunities.

- Travel regularly to operational sites to engage directly with employees, supervisors, and management teams.

Qualifications

- 8–10+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably supporting operational or industrial workforces.

- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

- Strong employee relations experience, with exposure to unionized environments and labor-management relations considered a significant advantage.

- Demonstrated experience partnering with business leaders and managing complex employee relations matters.

- Knowledge of Singapore employment legislation and industrial relations practices.

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

- Willingness to conduct regular site visits and maintain close engagement with frontline employees and operational teams.

- Experience within engineering, construction, manufacturing, industrial, or multinational industries are preferred
