We are looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our Japan Enterprise Marketing Solutions team and play a pivotal role in driving LinkedIn’s position as the premier platform for connecting with the world’s professionals. In this highly strategic enterprise quota carrying role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to your large customers, owning executive relationships, influencing marketing and media strategy, and driving long-term business growth. As a Senior Account Executive, you will take a consultative, account-based approach to deeply understand your customers' business objectives and architect integrated LinkedIn strategies across marketing organizations and agency partners. You will focus on expanding into new buying centers, while partnering closely with your Client Solutions Manager to accelerate growth within existing programs. Success in this role is driven by your ability to build multi-threaded relationships, uncover enterprise-level opportunities, and position LinkedIn as a core strategic partner. Internally, we seek a collaborative sales professional who contributes to a high-performance team culture, brings strategic rigor to the business, and elevates the broader organization through partnership and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities:
- Build and deepen executive relationships (VP–CMO level) across client and agency teams
- Consistently meet and exceed revenue targets
- Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned to customer business priorities
- Identify and unlock new buying groups to expand LinkedIn’s footprint
- Lead consultative conversations that position LinkedIn as a core part of marketing and media strategy
- Drive multi-threaded engagement across marketing, demand gen, brand, and agency stakeholders
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver integrated, outcome-driven solutions
- Own the full sales cycle including pipeline development, deal strategy, and accurate forecasting
- Deliver compelling executive narratives and proposals tied to business impact
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance team culture
- Lead with insights through client research, industry-specific information, and trends.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in digital advertising across sales, marketing, consulting, or media.
- 5+ years of quota carrying experience in digital media sales driving customer growth.
- Business fluency in Japanese and English, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across regional and global teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building relationships with and closing deals involving CMOs, Media Directors, and other senior marketing stakeholders.
- Experience developing sales proposals, forecasts, and account plans.
- Deep expertise in media sales within the Japan market.
- Proven success in achieving results within a target-driven sales environment.
- Strong understanding of advertising technology and marketing automation.
- Ability to uncover customer needs and connect business challenges to impactful solutions.
- Skilled at translating data and insights into strategic recommendations and compelling client narratives.
- Experience managing and prioritizing large portfolios of advertising budgets and campaigns.
- Demonstrated success in consultative selling, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Proactive in driving value creation and co-developing holistic solutions with customers, partners, and cross-functional teams.
