We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, and compassionate Customer Service Representative / Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team. This position combines customer service, prescription data entry, refill management, and day-to-day pharmacy support.
Position Summary
This is a hands-on, in-person role for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment and managing multiple responsibilities throughout the day.
You will communicate with customers and prescribers, process refill requests, enter prescriptions accurately, help resolve order and shipping issues, and work closely with pharmacists and other team members to keep prescriptions moving efficiently.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Prescription Support
- Answer incoming phone calls, text messages, and emails from customers and prescriber offices
- Assist with prescription status, refill requests, payment questions, shipping questions, and general pharmacy support
- Provide friendly, patient, and professional service, including during stressful or time-sensitive situations
- Follow up with customers, prescribers, pharmacists, and internal team members to help keep prescriptions moving
- Document conversations and next steps accurately in pharmacy and customer systems
- Escalate medication-specific or clinical questions to a pharmacist when appropriate
Prescription Refills
- Contact customers when prescription refills are due
- Review prescription and refill history for accuracy
- Confirm the correct patient, medication, strength, dosage form, and prescriber information
- Obtain refill authorizations from prescriber offices when needed
- Maintain accurate notes regarding refill activity and customer communication
- Follow up on outstanding refill requests and authorizations
Prescription Data Entry & Order Processing
- Enter prescriptions accurately into pharmacy software
- Verify patient, customer, prescriber, and medication information before processing
- Identify missing or potentially incorrect information and bring it to the appropriate pharmacist or team member
- Update prescription queues and internal systems with accurate processing notes
- Review completed prescriptions, customer information, and shipping labels for accuracy
- Collect and process payment information accurately
- Assist with packaging and preparing outbound shipments when needed
Shipping & Problem Solving
- Track prescription shipments and help customers understand delivery status
- Troubleshoot delayed, missing, or incorrectly routed packages
- Communicate with shipping carriers and internal team members to resolve delivery issues
- Help identify recurring customer service or shipping problems and escalate them appropriately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of experience in customer service, pharmacy, veterinary care, healthcare, medical office, or a related environment preferred
- Pharmacy technician, veterinary assistant, veterinary receptionist, or medical office experience is a plus
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn multiple systems quickly
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on open tasks
- Comfortable handling a high volume of calls, texts, emails, and prescription requests
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable learning medication, prescription, and compounding terminology
- Understands when medication-related or clinical questions must be escalated to a pharmacist
