Production Planning Coordinator – Entry Level

About Us

GBI USA CO is a growing manufacturer of high-quality, natural dog chews with nothing added. We are looking for a motivated and organized person to help coordinate activities between our office and production floor.

This is an entry-level position with the opportunity to grow into a production leadership or management role based on performance and company needs.

Position Summary

The Production Planning Coordinator will help develop daily and weekly production schedules, coordinate the prestaging of materials, and communicate production priorities between the office and production team.

The right candidate will be comfortable working with computers and spreadsheets while also spending time on the production floor. We are looking for someone who is dependable, practical, eager to learn, and able to communicate effectively with different team members.

Responsibilities

Prepare daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders, available inventory, staffing, and production capacity

Estimate realistic daily production quantities

Coordinate the prestaging of raw materials, packaging, labels, tools, and other supplies

Confirm that required materials are ready before production begins

Communicate production priorities, schedule changes, shortages, and delays

Track planned production compared with actual results

Maintain accurate production, inventory, and traceability records

Enter and organize information using Microsoft Excel and company software

Help identify scheduling problems and opportunities to improve workflow

Learn our products, manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety procedures

Work closely with the production lead and company management

Assist with other production-planning and operational duties as needed

Qualifications

College or university education preferred; community-college graduates are encouraged to apply

Education in operations, supply chain, business, manufacturing, food science, industrial technology, or a related field is helpful

Comfortable using computers, email, and Microsoft Excel

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Comfortable working with numbers and making practical estimates

Clear and respectful communication skills

Willing to learn our processes directly on the production floor

Able to follow quality, sanitation, food-safety, and workplace-safety procedures

Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to adjust when priorities change

Previous experience in manufacturing, food production, inventory, scheduling, or warehousing is helpful but not required

The successful candidate will:

Give the production team a clear and realistic daily plan

Help ensure materials are ready before production begins

Keep the office informed about production progress and potential problems

Maintain accurate and timely records

Build positive relationships with office and production employees

Gradually take on greater planning and leadership responsibilities
