Ho Chi Minh City Strategy Experienced (Individual Contributor)
The VN Investment team evaluates and supports promising game studios and early-stage game teams through Direct Equity Investment and the Incubation Program. The Incubation Program supports early-stage teams end-to-end – from team selection, curriculum design and milestone tracking to demo day and follow-on support.
In this role, you will own and run the Incubation & Portfolio program end-to-end, partnering closely with studios/teams, internal experts and external vendors to help promising projects grow and succeed.
Job Description
Program Operations (Incubation End-to-End)
- Own and run the Incubation Program end-to-end: build the scorecard, organize team selection, interviews, pitching and select teams to join the program.
- Build and manage the curriculum, milestones, demo day and community for teams in the program.
- Track each team's progress against deliverables and consolidate periodic reporting for stakeholders.
Game Studio Portfolio & Follow-on Support
- Stay close to projects from a subject-matter perspective: participate in assessing each project's potential/promise.
- Organize playtests, review results, collect feedback and provide concrete recommendations/actions for teams.
- Track follow-on outcomes after playtests/reviews to ensure teams are improving in the right direction.
Coordination & Cross-functional Resourcing
- Coordinate agencies/vendors, experts and internal resources (legal, tax, other supporting teams) for the portfolio.
- Support studios/teams operationally post-investment, particularly on process- and execution-related matters.
- Operate within existing frameworks while customizing the approach for each team/studio.
Job Requirements
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Game Development, Business, Marketing or a related field
- 4+ years experience as a Project Manager/Product Owner/Campaign/Operation Lead managing a game project, program or operation end-to-end.
- Has solid understanding of the game development and publishing process, able to identify key milestones/risks and give relevant feedback on playtest results.
- Program/Project Coordination: Strong at project management , timeline management and stakeholder management.
- Milestone & Deliverable Tracking: Able to track milestones/deliverables and turn feedback into concrete reports/actions.
- Multi-Stakeholder Management: Able to organize multiple stakeholders (studios, agencies/vendors, experts, internal teams) and handle ad-hoc issues as they arise.
- Ownership Mindset: High ownership — takes full responsibility for programs and portfolio outcomes from planning through execution.
- Communication & Consulting: Clear and confident communicator; strong at project coordination and consulting across multiple studios/teams.
- Interest in Gaming: Having strong passion for Gaming with various experience with different types of game genres.
