The beautiful Groundswell Home + Garden is looking for experienced retail sales associates. We are seeking an experienced retail lead to model excellent customer service, take responsibility for daily opening/closing procedures, and assist management in maintaining standards of excellence in sales and shop environment. We have full-time, part-time and seasonal opportunities available.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and driving sales within our store. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. This position will be responsible for assisting the shop manager in daily responsibilities including:
- Ensuring all open/close procedures in store are followed and store is ready for customers
- Maintain neat cash wrap(s) and ensure all necessary supplies are available, work with management to coordinate supply restock orders
- Take ownership of store/backstock organization to ensure product is properly stored and easily accessible for sales and restock; work closely with management and Director of Merchandising to determine best methods and location
- Be a leader on the sales team setting an example in attitude, product knowledge, and providing excellent customer service
- Handle customer returns as needed at the direction of management
- learn retail offerings to better assist customers
- Maintain a clean and tidy store
- Assist the manager and ownership in other duties
- Must Be Available Weekends
Retail and/or customer service experience required. Must have sales experience. Friendly and positive attitude a must.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
- Familiarity with product demos and the ability to convey product benefits clearly to customers.
- Experience in cash handling is advantageous, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
