Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly, assist with check-in procedures, and manage appointment scheduling using salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms.
- Support stylists with hair care services, including hair coloring, blowdrys, shampoos.
- Maintain salon sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, tools, and equipment regularly to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Assist with retail sales through upselling products like hair care items, makeup, nail care products, and other beauty essentials
- Provide excellent client communication by answering questions about services, explaining hair coloring techniques based on color theory, and offering personalized recommendations.
- Support hairstyling and barbering services by preparing tools such as straight razors or other equipment needed for grooming procedures.
- Mentor new team members when needed and foster a collaborative atmosphere focused on continuous learning and growth.
Experience
- Previous experience working in the beauty industry is a plus; familiarity with cosmetology or barbering is a plus.
- Must have active cosmetology permit or license
- Hands-on experience with hair care techniques including coloring, styling, extensions, and hair threading enhances your candidacy.
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with clients effectively and supporting team collaboration.
- A solid understanding of sanitation practices within a salon environment ensures safety for both clients and staff.
- Experience in retail sales or upselling beauty products demonstrates your ability to contribute to store management goals.
