About the Role
Intravo is seeking an Enterprise Account Manager, Event Technology to take dedicated ownership of delivery and client success for a large pharmaceutical account. In this role, you will be embedded as the lead account owner for our client’s portfolio of meetings and digital engagement programs—including our proprietary SaaS platforms for mobile event apps, virtual and hybrid platforms, interactivity modules, interpretation, and second-screen engagement.
You will direct a team of full-time and part-time Event Technologists and Moderators, enforcing account compliance and overseeing event execution across virtual, hybrid, and face-to-face formats.
IMPORTANT: This is not a hands-on production role, but it requires meeting- and production experience. You will not be building the app or running the console on show day — you will be the person who knows, in detail, whether the people doing so, are set up to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Account Leadership & Delivery
- Take primary operational ownership for event technology delivery and account success across all assigned programs, from kickoff through live execution and post-meeting review.
- Ensure strict adherence to agreed-upon Scopes of Work, enterprise SLAs, and pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines.
Governance & Operating Cadence
- Build and maintain account plans and SOPs—defining client objectives, service standards, escalation paths, and growth goals to ensure operational continuity.
- Lead client account management in coordination with our sister production company (the MSA holder) to align project scopes, manage client expectations, and safeguard contract value.
- Maintain a structured communication cadence, including regular status updates, standing office hours, SOW-mandated account reviews, and client reporting.
- Own account data integrity in the Intravo CRM, including program setup, activity logs, renewal forecasting, and recurring client reports.
Account Health
- Partner with internal teams to identify expansion opportunities, convert them into signed change orders, and lead intra-account RFP responses and proposals.
- Proactively manage budget variances to prevent billing disputes and oversee final financial reconciliations for assigned account programs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors and emerging trends in the pharmaceutical event technology space.
Team Leadership
- Direct account-assigned Event Technologists and Moderators, managing staffing assignments, resource allocation, and capacity planning based on program scope and technical complexity.
- Lead end-to-end people management for the account team, including regular 1:1s, performance reviews, professional development planning, and hiring.
- Train delivery staff on account-specific workflows, client preferences, and compliance standards, while partnering with Product Support to route platform and feature training.
Client Partnership & Product Alignment
- Serve as the primary technical partner and internal client advocate, translating client business goals into actionable execution plans.
- Cultivate relationships across key account stakeholders—including study teams, client committees, meeting planning agencies, and third-party production vendors.
- Conduct consultative product demos for stakeholders to showcase feature capabilities and drive platform adoption.
- Partner with Project Manager and cross-functional leads to proactively surface operational risks or technical gaps prior to live event dates.
- Collaborate with Product Support on new feature rollouts and conduct post-event reviews to capture operational feedback that directly informs product roadmaps.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in event technology, account management, live or virtual meeting delivery.
- 2+ years supporting enterprise pharmaceutical, healthcare, or strictly regulated commercial accounts.
- 2+ years of direct people-management experience, including leading distributed, remote, or part-time technical staff.
- Deep understanding of virtual, hybrid, and face-to-face meeting and production workflows, including managing the full lifecycle of an event through to final reconciliation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent programs without compromising schedule or execution quality.
- Track record of driving client retention, renewals, or scope expansion on enterprise accounts.
- Experience operating within multi-vendor ecosystems, including acting as a subcontractor or partner vendor.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce or equivalent), Microsoft Office Suite and generative AI tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT) to streamline account administration, reporting and operational workflows.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 20%) to manage onsite event technology operations.
- Valid passport, or the ability to obtain one prior to the first international assignment, and the ability to secure any visas required for international travel. Successful completion of a background check is a condition of employment.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Direct familiarity with pharmaceutical compliance frameworks and workflow.
- Experience with event SaaS software rollouts or enterprise vendor management platforms.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise event technology platforms such as Cvent, Zoom Events, SpotMe, or comparable proprietary tooling.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience. A degree is not required for this role.
