About Mylar Marketing
Mylar Marketing runs lead generation for home service contractors: roofers, plumbers, HVAC techs, remodelers, deck builders, pool builders, the whole trades world. We build ads and content that actually get their phones ringing, and we guarantee the leads. We're small, we move fast, and we don't do boring corporate marketing.
The Job, In Plain English
We need someone who can sit next to the founder, learn how this agency actually runs, and start making real stuff for real paying clients almost immediately. Not fake internship busy work. You'll be designing, filming, editing, and occasionally getting roped into whatever chaotic idea popped into the founder's head that morning.
It starts in person so we can build habits and inside jokes together, then it goes remote once you've got the hang of it.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Canva, But Make It On Brand
Every client has their own vibe. Their own colors, fonts, tone, the whole deal, all laid out in what we call a Client Intelligence Document. Your job is to make each one look like a completely different company, because they are. A roofer in New Hampshire should not look like a luxury remodeler in Sarasota. If you can tell the difference between "trustworthy blue collar" and "quiet luxury," you'll fit right in.
Video Editing, With Some Actual Creative Say
You'll cut raw footage into short form content and paid ads using DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or Premiere Pro, whichever you're fastest in. This isn't just trimming clips. You'll be in the room helping cook up hooks, transitions, overlay text, and the occasional slightly unhinged idea that somehow works. Everything gets organized in Google Drive so nothing gets lost in the void.
Camera Time
Someone has to point the camera and say "do that again but funnier." That's you. We're building out the Mylar Marketing YouTube channel, mostly short form with the occasional long form video, and we need someone who can help make the founder look good on camera, or at least less awkward.
Playing With the Robots
We run a chunk of this agency through AI agents on the founder's laptop, using Claude and Claude Code. You'll learn how it all works, help keep it running, and start noticing where we can make it smarter. No coding background needed. Just genuine curiosity and a willingness to poke at new tools instead of running from them.
Keeping the Chaos Organized
Google Drive is home base. You'll keep client assets easy to find, help schedule and post content across social and GoHighLevel, and generally be the person who knows where everything is when the founder inevitably forgets.
