As our new Regional General Counsel CEE, you will lead the Legal function across the CEE region and serve as the trusted legal adviser to regional leadership. You will help enable sustainable growth through practical, risk-based legal guidance while maintaining high standards of governance, compliance, and ethical business conduct. Working closely with regional and global stakeholders, you will develop and enhance legal operations and support business success across multiple jurisdictions (CEE comprises Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine).
Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the CEE Legal function and regional legal team

Advise regional management on strategic initiatives, organizational change, and business growth opportunities

Review, negotiate, and structure complex customer, vendor, partner, and technology agreements

Oversee litigation, corporate governance, entity management, legal reporting, and engagement with external counsel across the region

Ensure regulatory compliance, including with data protection and AI regulations

Support selected compliance trainings

Identify emerging legal risks and translate them into practical business guidance and mitigation
What we need to see from you:
-
Full qualification as a lawyer in a CEE jurisdiction and substantial post-qualification experience

Senior in-house legal experience in an international business; additional experience in a top international law firm is a plus

Proven ability to lead and develop legal teams across multiple jurisdictions

Expertise in commercial contracting, corporate governance, compliance, data privacy, AI regulation, and dispute management

Experience in the technology, software, cloud, or IT services industry is advantageous
-
Commercially minded with sound judgment, high integrity, and the ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders
