Schedule: As needed

Compensation: $27-32 per hour (Hourly rate commensurate with experience)

Expected Hours: 40 hours per week

ABOUT THE ROLE

Ignitus Recovery is a growing behavioral health organization providing residential and outpatient treatment for substance use and mental health disorders at Cherry Hills Recovery and AIM Health Boulder.

The Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor is a working leadership role that provides hands-on supervision and coaching to the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) team while also supporting clients directly in the treatment environment. This role helps ensure the treatment milieu remains safe, structured, trauma-responsive, and aligned with clinical expectations.

The BHT Supervisor works alongside staff during daily operations, providing real-time support, mentoring, and accountability while helping maintain a therapeutic environment that supports client engagement and recovery.

This role is ideal for an experienced Behavioral Health Technician who is ready to step into a leadership position while continuing to provide meaningful direct support to clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct Client Support (Working Role)

- Provide in-the-moment client engagement, support, redirection, and crisis response alongside BHT staff

- Model trauma-responsive communication, emotional regulation, and healthy boundaries

- Support daily client routines, safety checks, documentation, transportation, and program activities

- Build respectful and trusting relationships that reinforce client dignity and treatment engagement

Leadership & Supervision

- Lead shifts by working directly alongside the BHT team

- Provide real-time coaching, corrective feedback, and skill development for staff

- Conduct shift huddles, staff handoffs, and team alignment communication

- Mentor staff on de-escalation strategies, rapport building, and trauma-informed care

Operational Coordination

- Support scheduling, shift coverage, and workforce coordination

- Ensure BHT responsibilities such as rounds, documentation, observations, and milieu monitoring are completed accurately

- Coordinate with clinical, medical, and leadership teams to support consistent client care

Documentation & Measurement-Informed Practice

- Complete accurate and objective documentation

- Review BHT documentation for clarity and completeness

- Support staff in gathering client observations and measurement-informed data

- Identify trends within the milieu and share insights that support quality improvement

Safety, Compliance & Professional Integrity

- Uphold all safety protocols, incident reporting standards, and ethical boundaries

- Respond to crises calmly and guide staff in following established procedures

- Promote a culture of professionalism, reliability, accountability, and cultural humility

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

- High school diploma or GED

- Experience working in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or mental health services

- QMAP Certification

- Ability to coach and mentor staff in a fast-paced treatment environment

- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and trauma-informed interactions

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

- Ability to pass federal, state, and county background checks
