About the role
Cygnus Professionals UK Ltd is an IT staffing and consulting business connecting experienced data professionals with our enterprise clients. We're hiring a hands-on AI Data Product Designer / Developer to work on a long-term contract with one of our clients - a major global technology and consulting organisation - building governed, production-grade data pipelines and AI-ready data products.
This is a genuinely hands-on, individual-contributor role - you'll be building, not just designing. You'll work directly with Snowflake and Collibra to turn raw commercial and operational data into trusted, well-governed data products, with clean CI/CD practices from day one. Fully remote, long-term contract.
What you'll do
- Design, build and maintain data pipelines and models in Snowflake (Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, performance tuning)
- Catalogue, govern and document data assets in Collibra: business glossaries, lineage, role-based access
- Ship changes through Git-based version control and CI/CD, ideally integrated with tools like dbt or Airflow
- Work with commercial and operational data sources such as CRM, claims, or payer data (pharma commercial data experience with IQVIA, Veeva or claims data is a strong plus, not a hard requirement)
- Write production-quality Python and SQL
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into governed, reusable data products
What we're looking for
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake in a real production environment
- Practical experience with Collibra, or a strong appetite to learn it fast
- Comfort with Git, CI/CD and modern engineering practices
- Solid Python and SQL skills
- 5+ years in a data engineering or data platform role
- Bonus: exposure to pharma, healthcare or other regulated-data environments (GxP, HIPAA, GDPR)
- Comfortable working within a large, enterprise-scale client environment
