ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join our international team and support projects for leading Swiss banking clients.
This position is ideal for candidates with a strong interest in financial markets, securities, and derivative products who are looking to build expertise in regulatory reporting and banking operations. Previous experience in regulatory reporting is appreciated but not required. Candidates with experience in banking operations, middle office, back office, trade support, or financial services environments are encouraged to apply.
Comprehensive training and mentorship will be provided to help you develop specialized knowledge of Swiss and European regulatory reporting frameworks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the preparation, validation, and quality control of regulatory reports.Perform data analysis and reconciliation activities to ensure reporting completeness and accuracy.Investigate data quality issues and assist in the resolution of reporting exceptions and errors.Monitor reporting processes and support report submissions through regulatory reporting platforms.Analyze feedback received from regulatory portals and assist in corrective actions.Participate in operational controls and compliance monitoring activities.Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and testing activities related to regulatory changes, reporting enhancements, and system releases.Collaborate with internal teams, IT departments, and client stakeholders to collect and validate reporting data.Contribute to process improvement initiatives and preparation of operational documentation.Develop expertise in regulatory reporting frameworks such as FINFRAG, EMIR, MiFIR, SFTR, and other regulatory obligations applicable to financial institutions.
TECHNICAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
EducationBachelor's or Master's degree in: Finance, Economics, or related disciplines
ExperienceUp to 3 years of experience in banking, financial services, operations, middle office, back office, trade support, or regulatory reporting.Recent graduates with strong academic knowledge of financial markets and instruments are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial instruments, including Equities, Bonds, Funds, Foreign Exchange products, Derivatives (Futures, Options, Swaps, Forwards)Understanding of trade lifecycle concepts is considered a plus.Knowledge of regulatory reporting frameworks (FINFRAG, EMIR, MiFIR, SFTR) is considered a strong advantage but is not mandatory.Familiarity with XML, data validation concepts, or financial data structures is considered a plus.
Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail. Ability to work with structured data and perform quality checks.Interest in data analysis and financial regulations.
Languages: Excellent written and spoken English.Italian is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of German and/or French is considered a plus.
