About the Role
This is an early engineering hire at a seed-stage AI integration platform, working directly with the founders to own core systems end-to-end. You will help build an agentic platform that gathers requirements in plain English, generates and tests integration code, deploys it, and keeps it running in production. The work you do now sets the engineering foundation everything else will be built on.
What You'll Do
-
Own the agent platform, infrastructure, and integrations runtime end-to-end.
-
Set engineering patterns and standards that future hires will build on.
-
Ship to production constantly, working side-by-side with the founding team.
-
Shape the architecture and direction of the entire system in your first year.
What We're Looking For
-
2 to 9 years of professional software engineering experience; this is a hands-on individual contributor role.
-
Strong CS fundamentals from a rigorous technical degree program (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD, completed or in progress).
-
Experience at an early-stage, venture-backed startup (pre-seed through Series A) or as a founder who raised outside funding or grew a team.
-
A track record of shipping and owning real production systems end-to-end, multiple times.
-
Comfort working across the stack: agent orchestration, infrastructure, and integration runtimes.
-
Proficiency with TypeScript; familiarity with React, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and AWS is a plus.
-
Ability to use AI coding tools effectively while maintaining strong judgment over production quality.
-
Clear motivation for a fast-paced, high-intensity, in-person early-stage environment.
-
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, or US-based with a concrete, dated relocation plan to San Francisco.
